This fall, Food @ MSU is launching "Our Table" – a series of community roundtable discussions on various food topics ranging from health to sustainability.
Our Table will bring together food experts and farmers, health professionals and community members to listen to each other and foster trust and mutual understanding so that everyone will be able to make more informed choices about food.
The inaugural Our Table event is planned for Thursday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cristo Rey Community Center, located at 1717 N. High Street in Lansing. The public is invited to attend and listen to a lively discussion on food access by local community members, including MSU faculty, with the opportunity for questions at the end.
Sheril Kirshenbaum, author of “Unscientific America: How Scientific Illiteracy Threatens our Future” will moderate the Our Table discussions.
These free events are intended to inspire meaningful conversations on food topics in homes and communities and around dinner tables everywhere.
Please RSVP at https://events.anr.msu.edu/ourtable/. Donations to the Cristo Rey Community Center are encouraged. Light appetizers and refreshments will be served.
